Infant Room (2 weeks- 12 months)
Circle Time has a wonderful infant program. Our infants are cared for by Miss. Lisa and Miss. Lauren. We take great pride in our nursery, seeing as your children will begin their adventure through education in this room. Our nursery accommodates eight infants, with two teachers. Our primary care givers assure parents their children developing nurturing relationships. Within our school day we spend time feeding, rocking, diapering, and caring for your little one. Circle Time staff promises social- emotional interactions with your baby, will do this by holding, smiling, talking to, cuddling, making eye contact and interacting with them in activities each day.
We make sure every child is bottle fed, while being rocked by their teacher. Each bottle is warmed under running hot water. We also promote parents whom are breastfeeding to stop in on their lunch break our throughout the day; Circle Time offers a private room to accommodate these parents. We do ask that parents please bring formula or breast milk in a pre made bottle labeled with: child’s name, date, contents, and ounces.
All infants are diapered in the designated diaper changing area. Circle Time has a diapering station in each room and it is sanitized in a four step process after every diaper change. Care givers change the children every hour and a half, keeping your child dry and happy is our first priority. Parents are asked to provide diapers and wipes; you may provide them daily or store extra belongings here.
Every child at Circle Time has their own crib, A fitted crib sheet is provided by the center; If parents wish to send their child with his/her own bedding we ask for a pack-n-play sheet. All sleeping equipment is cleaned daily, and bedding is washed when soiled or every Friday. Infants may not have: soft objects, bumper pads, stuffed toys, or blankets in their crib. We ask that parents please bring a “sleeping sack” for their child to sleep with. Circle Time does not allow children to sleep in car seats, infant seats, or swings. All infants must be placed on their back unless there are special instructions from a physician.
Throughout the day we keep a detailed form for the parents informing them of every feeding, diaper change, and nap. We also add additional notes that include information on “tummy time” “infant massage” and extra attention we gave your child every day.
Circle Time staff members understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable at work when their new child is attending daycare. We ask that you please call throughout the day, feel free to come in on a lunch break or stay after work for a while just to see the classroom.
What we ask for:
· Extra change of clothes · A brief summary of your child’s day at home. Circle Time will follow your schedule so your child is comfortable in his/her new surroundings.
DON’T FORGET LABEL EVERYTHING!!!
